In the presence of Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, former governor of the Red Sea, Major General Dr. Rady Abdel Aziz, former head of the Consumer Protection Authority, Engineer Adel El-Gendy, advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Professor Dr. Nevin Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Suez Canal University, and Professor Amir Al-Atma, former representative of the Tourist Guides Syndicate. And a group of members of the African-Asian Union AFASU and gentlemen tourist guides in the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by Dr. Hossam Darwish, President of the African-Asian Union AFASU, and the Secretary-General of the Union, Major General Hossam Badr El-Din. The event of the Cultural Forum for Tourist Guides and Workers in Tourism and Antiquities was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Dalia Amin, Head of the Office the African Asian Union in Egypt, which witnessed important speeches by attendees that shed light on the tourism sector in general and the tourism guide profession in particular.
During his speech, Major General Ahmed Abdullah stressed that Egypt is a country rich in diverse tourism resources and that the tour guide is the first person to meet the tourist and has a great task in conveying good impressions about Egypt, while Dr. Hossam Darwish expressed his sincere appreciation for the forum and what it offers and does. towards the tourism and antiquities sector with a national motivation reflected in the successive events that support and encourage tourist guides, while Major General Hossam Badr El Din expressed his deep thanks to the forum and all attendees for their role in working on Egypt’s success by paying attention to the tourism sector. Engineer Adel El Gendy indicated during his speech that it is possible It is clear to say that one of the most important points affecting the tourism sector in Egypt is the current events in the Middle East region, which negatively affects incoming tourism, despite the fact that Egypt enjoys security and safety, while Professor Amir Al-Atma praised the forum and the programs and activities it provides for tourist guides, which It works to enrich them and increase their professional capabilities, while Dr. Dalia Amin stressed that the current trend should be towards new and unconventional tourism patterns, which will stimulate an increase in the number of tourists coming to Egyptian tourist destinations, and that the tour guide must always remain an ambassador for his country while carrying out his work duties, as he is the first to meet... It is used by tourists as soon as they start visiting Egypt.
The forum witnessed honoring the attendees, as well as honoring a number of tourist guides, media professionals, and young scholars, on the basis of their participation in a competition to choose the best promotional film for Egyptian tourist destinations.
