AFASU awards His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al- Azhar with the AFASU Gold Award for sustainable community development and excellence in leadership, development, development and support of Muslim communities around the world.
His Eminence, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, approved the decision of the Eurasian Union to grant his Eminence the Union Award for Service and Sustainable Community Development, in appreciation of the efforts of his Eminence and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in spreading moderate Islam in the world, especially in the countries of Africa and Asia, and Al-Azhar has been for more than a thousand years an enlightening university to spread the religion God is in different parts of the earth, without exaggeration or negligence, as Al-Azhar is a lofty beacon for spreading Islamic sciences, spreading moderation and moderation, and plays an important role in bringing together hearts and fighting extremism in thought, word and deed, hates hatred and spreads love, harmony and peace
His Eminence, the Grand Imam, received in his office in the sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Union delegation headed by His Excellency Dr. Hossam Darwish, President of the Union and Founder, Counselor Dr. Adel Al-Maslamani, Chief Executive Officer, Major General Hossam Badr El-Din, Vice President for Membership Affairs and Director of Protocol and International Relations, and Counselor Amr Mohamed Tantawy. Member of the Federation, and the meeting was cordial, in which His Excellency Dr. Hossam explained the subject of the award and its importance, and he also dealt with a historical overview of the Federation and its activities. His Excellency the Counselor, Dr. Adel Al-Muslimani, praised the honorable role of Al-Azhar and its high status in different countries of the world.
The delegation of the Federation handed His Eminence the shield and memorial photos were taken, and his Eminence’s word had a great impact in directing the Federation to interact with Al-Azhar in spreading its educational message for the Arabic language as a tool for understanding the great Quraan, calling on the Federation to cooperate with the Al-Azhar Institute for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and after completing the visit His Eminence, and the meeting ended with his Eminence's promise to the delegation of other meetings.
