Important Additional Criteria:
The additional criterion is a binding requirement for each of the above, namely, that all previous standards be achieved to maximize the "added value of society". Without achieving this, no other criteria are considered. This is in order to preserve the basic vision and true value that the Union seeks.
General Conditions for The Award:
This Award is merited to leaders & potential leading individuals in their fields and NOT to institutional bodies, institutions or organizations.
Nomination shall be made on the basis of the procedures and regulations of the Union.
The candidate's specifications must meet all the basic elements of the award.
The candidate must fulfill the selection criteria by at least 70%, in consideration with the field & specialization of the candidate when applying the criteria.
The candidate should deservedly entitle the Award according to the nominating committee.
The candidate should be a leader with a strong and effective influence in his field & society. He should be well-noted & praised for his excellence, integrity & ongoing efforts.

The Prize Winner is Chosen by the Consensus of the Distinguished Members of the Committee.

Award Shield:
A distinct Shield or Cup depending on the type and degree of the award, with a Certificate of Appreciation & Excellence and a file containing the merits & reasons for the Awarding Nomination. In only one case, the prize is nominal, the "Young Entrepreneur Award”.
Award ceremony:
After the Prize Winner's approval, the Award is received at a ceremony at his workplace or another suitable place of choice, amid intense media presence & members of the Board of Directors of the African Asian Union “AFASU”.
