AFASU Golden Awards

The Afro-Asian Union “AFASU” draws its overall vision and objectives from the vision of Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organization “AAPSO”, the parent organization of the Union. In order to achieve this vision, and in alignment with the keen rising interests of international communities in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and as part of the Union's determination to promote African and Asian Peoples’ socio-economic culture, the Federation has established the “AFASU Award for Community Development & Excellence in Leadership & Development”.

Recognizing the essential and inspiring role of leaders and influencers, Afro-Asian youth & their importance in the progressive development of their communities and nations. And as an extension to the determined approach of the “AFASU” to honoring & recognizing human success & creativity, the Union, sponsored by the parent organization “AAPSO”, has established an annual award for excellence in all areas of community & socio-economic development, sustainability & leadership, (for all sectors ) called the “AFASU Award for Community Development & Excellence in Leadership & Development”. The award aims to support leaders, presidents, ministers, sector heads & organizations, to further excel in promoting & enhancing their communities by all possible means. It also supports young people in achieving their entrepreneurial ambitions and initiatives, which carry with them pioneering development models that drive-forward the overall performance of Afro-Asian societies towards continuous progress. The award targets leaders starting from rulers & presidents all the way to young people who seek to establish or develop outstanding and innovative entrepreneurial projects within the concept of sustainable development, business excellence and social entrepreneurship.
By launching this award, the Union has sought to establish & empower elements & concepts of successfully effective & influential leadership at all levels, by awarding this award to the best in their fields and based on parameters of success & performance indicators that are carefully crafted so as to reflect the merits & entitlement of the Prize Winners. Prizes are awarded only through a nomination process guided by a jury at the highest level.

Philosophy of the Award:
The “AFASU Award for Community Development & Excellence in Leadership & Development” philosophy is revolving around the core vision of supporting, recognizing & empowering leaders in terms of; excellence, maximized value & services, they contribute to their communities & societies. Through its annual award,” AFASU” seeks to highlight the illuminating roles of leaders in all areas of development, reunification, the elimination of corruption, transparency & integrity, setting an example for others & inspiring them towards a brighter common future. As well as developing the abilities of young & potential leaders boosting their competency, excellence & creativity, by highlighting & supporting their entrepreneurial initiatives. In the foregoing, our award focuses on all criteria that have impactful & magnifying cultural values; (Successful Leadership, Professional Achievement, Excellence & Transparency, and Entrepreneurship & Social Impact).
in conclusion the philosophy of the AFASU golden awards seeks to promote the basic set of human values long sought after by every society. Freedom, justice, cooperation, participation, love, affiliation to one’s country, a sense of social responsibility - that is, values related to personal and social progress: these are the values prized by the Award.

Purpose of the Award & Its Main Objectives:

The Union believes that effective & impactful leadership is one of the most important inputs for real sustainable development. Accordingly, the Union has launched the “AFASU Award for Community Development & Excellence in Leadership & Development”, based on its outlook on the foundations of successful & distinguished leadership. This vision derives the basic elements & criteria upon which the nomination for the award is made, and the validity & merit of the Prize Winners are recognized. Technical panel &Jury
Award entries judged by a multidisciplinary, international technical panel with an advanced knowledge of all awards categories The Technical Panel will score each entry against the evaluation criteria and select up to three finalists in each award category. The Technical Panel may also nominate impressive and innovative entries that are not included as finalists.
The Panel of Judges for the AFASU golden Awards is comprised of distinguished individuals from around the world – from governments leadership, high-level government representatives, grassroots activists, civil society, creatives, and impact-driven business champions. Given their extensive experience and knowledge, our judges are uniquely positioned to identify and celebrate the most impactful initiatives and individuals that mobilize, inspire and connect people to drive positive change.
The jury is made up of more than 35 members from various international specializations, all of whom are skilled in their work and specialization and have extensive international experience.
